I'm a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer based in Vancouver with over 15 years of experience creating digital products that truly connect with users. I love tackling complex design problems and turning them into simple, effective, and intuitive solutions that make a difference.

How I got started in UX Design

In 2005, I was studying Graphic Design and working in print production. At the time, I realized the growing potential of the tech industry. Excited by its rapid changes, I decided to take my first Web Design course, where I learned HTML, CSS, and PHP.

After exploring different areas, I joined an agency in 2009, where I focused on Interaction Design. By 2011, I completed a specialization in User-Centered Design, deepening my expertise in UX.

What I've been working on

Since that pivotal moment, I've been assisting technology companies with innovative profiles in crafting digital products centered around human experiences. I achieve this by fostering a UX-centric culture within organizations and implementing user-focused processes like Design Thinking, Design Sprint, and Agile Methods.

My work empowers companies to attain UX maturity, develop high-value products, and secure a competitive edge in the market.

Where I want to go

As I look toward the future, I am focused on honing my skills in team leadership, product management, and user-centered processes, as part of a broader UX Strategy for innovation.

Curiosities

I served as an IxDA Local Leader, coordinating events focused on Interaction Design.

In 2012, I founded the UX Book Club in my hometown of Florianópolis, Brazil.

For a period, I owned a gym where I taught Jiu-Jitsu to children.

I have experience trading in diverse markets and have successfully profited from corn futures contracts.
